Habitat for Humanity Monterey County is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International®, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. We work in partnership with people in need to build modest affordable housing throughout Monterey County, California. The houses are sold at no profit and with no interest. Our efforts transform lives through collaboration, fellowship, and community support.

The front side of a house in Marina was all but destroyed by a fire that began in the garage in February 2010. One person died in the blaze and another was severely burned.
While the tragedy won't be forgotten, a small army of volunteers has embarked on the task of restoring the damaged property at 120 Brookside Place to a happy home for a needy and worthy family.
