Habitat for Humanity Monterey County is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International^®, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. We work in partnership with people in need to build modest affordable housing throughout Monterey County, California. The houses are sold at no profit and with no interest. Our efforts transform lives through collaboration, fellowship, and community support.

Mission

We build simple, decent homes for people in need. Our chapter attempts to address the need for affordable housing in Monterey County through the use of volunteer labor and donated funds and materials. Our goal is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the face of the earth and make local citizens aware of and active in these goals. Internationally Habitat has now constructed more that 400,000 homes in 87 countries.

ReStore has Moved!

Save your money, neighborhood, community and the earth! Habitat ReStore is the place Monterey County homeowners can get quality construction materials at bargain prices. The Monterey County ReStore collects and sells to the public reusable construction materials, appliances, fixtures, and other household items. Funds from the ReStore support the construction of new affordable homes. Our temporary location is 840 Fir Avenue, Sand City!
